Cooking with Fable
Virtual cooking class series
The era of social distancing prompted a rapid and enthusiastic transition toward online education. Fable recognized the importance of connecting with its community during this unique period. To cater to the evolving needs of the moment, Fable curated a series of complimentary virtual cooking classes, leveraging the expertise of two outstanding Canadian Chefs. These engaging sessions aimed to both engage with and meet the distinct needs of the Fable community.
The inaugural session in January 2021, led by Chopped Canada Winner and MasterChef Canada Finalist Michael Varga, drew in over 70 eager participants across two evenings. Together, they crafted Handmade Potato Gnocchi and a delectable Beet Hummus Bowl with Halloumi.
Following this success, the subsequent classes witnessed a remarkable doubling in participation. Chef Phil Scarfone, a Top Chef Canada finalist and Culinary Director overseeing Vancouver's acclaimed Savio Volpe, Pepino’s, and Caffѐ La Tana, guided enthusiasts through the preparation of Wild Mushroom Risotto and Ricotta & Spinach Tortelli with Sage Butter.
The campaign's outreach extended through targeted email communications and engagement on social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
